The Ultrasound Process
An ultrasound/sonogram is used to confirm your pregnancy and to identify any potential complications. If you’ve had a positive pregnancy test, the next step is to come in for an ultrasound before you make a decision about your pregnancy.
There are two types of ultrasounds: transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasounds. Both are safe and not painful. An ultrasound is recommended in the state of Maryland for any pregnant woman, even before an abortion.
Women’s Care Mary’s Center offers pregnancy services such as ultrasounds without pressuring women into a decision. We are a non-profit and we don’t make money off of your pregnancy decision.
